Mission Lost Control: Characters

The last two months I participated in the 2021 64 Brew Game Jam where the challenge is to make a game that could run on a N64, my first console.

Theme was "Control" my Team, Ultra Rare, decided on a Moba game where you try to amass control of bases on Mars in a set time limit. You control battle minions to either protect or conquer more bases, and there are item drops that mess up your opponent's controller controls. It was made with 4 players in mind so all the assets were made with the lowest poly count I could go before it became abstract.

It was super fun and please check it out on https://jtn191.itch.io/mission-lost-control

Minion Cat, they didn't get a nose because their ears were higher poly than the Dog's.

First idea for Minions, they didn't change much other than I needed them to be so low poly that having a lot on screen wouldn't crash the game.

Since this would be a N64 game I wanted to capture that cartoony look. This is the first draft of Cartoony style

Decided as a group that it would be Cats vs Dogs game. I wanted to make sure the style of each team was different first. Dog faction was inspired by a more military Halo look while the cat faction was more Star Wars Storm Trooper kind of vibe
